Here's my prediction for the season

Recently I have been accused of being overly optimistic, bordering on arrogant in relation to my expectations that we should have beaten West Brom and Bournemouth.

At the other end of the scale I have been told I am too negative and pessimistic about for not being deliriously happy for beating teams I think we should have beaten.

Anyway, this is my very reasonable and realistic prediction of where I think we'll finish this season and how I think we'll do on a match-by-match basis.

I think they are measured predictions and quite optimistic... Not 'smacked off my nuts on drugs' optimistic!

I think we may well do but I am not expecting it, they are more results I think we'll get and of course there will be anomalies.

We've already seen 2 results go against what I thought we should get so there will be others in our favour.

OK, I had a dull moment and my final total was one point more than yours

Realism is a bitch!

If we play well against upcoming games we can do better but if we play like we did v West Brom, Bournemouth (1st half) or even up at Sunderland I can't see us having the consistency.

At least I don't think we'll be relegated. Throughout my times supporting Palace I have hoped for the best but expected the worst and 10th is somewhere between the two.

A lot depends on this Everton match for me: if Zeki plays well enough to be a good replacement for Kelly or Souare, then we'll do really well finishing 10th or better. If Zeki can do that, then we'll have a good squad. We are finding our shape now, and if the defence can keep solid, we'll get better IMO. Zeki not performing and/or Macarthur getting injured will make it a lot tougher. My optimistic prediction: 7th.

As long as we are not relegated I couldn't care less where we finish its just about consolidation until we have developed the ground.

I agree although if we finish the 17th we'll be sh1tting ourselves until the the last minute of the season and IMO something will be wrong. I'm looking at us being at least 15th at the very worst throughout the season but a bit higher is within our grasp.

Benteke, left back, centre back, wingers are positions that are likely to disappoint those hoping for top 8 plus cos we never know when we're going to be short there.

We're better than 5 sides at least, come on.

Don't really disagree because that's what I'd like but don't expect. Trouble is quite a few clubs' fans will expect exactly the same results. "Oh them, should beat them." When they're really bad then yes but there are teams equal to a club that fans think they deserve to beat.

It's a slippery pole from 12th and under your points prediction so as long as we're not messing it up at the bottom, all ok.
