Missing serviceman

Can't see a thread on here about this. The guys been missing for nearly a week now. I hadn't seen or heard anything about it on the news, only just seen it on a Facebook link. Hope its nothing sinister and he's found soon.

If you're not a kid, chances of anyone finding you directly are pretty slim. Is he AWOL - because the military police and resources for tracking down AWOL servicemen is a likely a lot better funded and supported for finding a specific person than the civilian equivalent (which is spread over a disturbingly high number of missing people).

I know for a fact that there is a lot of military & intelligence resource being used to try and find him. However whilst there is a concern that it could be terrorism, that initial fear has subsided dramatically.
