Looks like he might be joining Warnock at Cardiff.

He's already signed Junior Hoilett and Sol Bamba this week. Which must be blowing Bilko's mind!

Optimistic as ever

Warnock did a simlar thing when he went to Rotherham last season, signing free agents, Paddy Kenny,Lloyd Doyley and Jerome Thomas.Took over Rotherham when they were 22nd and in the relegation places and kept them in the division losing only 4 of the 16 games that he was in charge.

Would love to see both of them do well. Chamakh was talented and technical but just consistently hit with injuries. And I really like Warnock (and having met him he always talks with what appears genuine affection about the club).

I don't like Cardiff though so it is a bit of a dilemma.

Might not be a popular opinion, but I am with you on this. I wish well to Warnock and Chamakh and for me that slightly out-weighs my dislike of Cardiff.

I hope Chammers does well and also Warnock ... not got a problem with the both of them doing a job for Cardiff.
Warnock did well for Palace and was there when we was on the right mire ... and Chammers gave his all ...shame about the injuries.

Warnock is probably one of the best managers you can hope for in the Championship if you can't buy your way out of trouble, or are on a tight budget.

I think he is tactically very astute at setting up to get the most out of a teams players strengths. Shaun Derry and Clint Hill had an incredible revival under Warnock (ending up premiership players) whilst even the likes of NDayie, Ertl, Lawrence etc performed to a standard beyond expectations.

F**k me, even Calvin Andrew was pressed into decent service despite his complete inability to play at Championship level.

Kieran Richardson through all his woes of injuries, alongside those other signings may be the new lease of life Cardiff need because they've been going close to their deathbed in the championship year after year

"He has a bit of a reputation in certain areas," Warnock added.

"One or two people in the club mentioned to me about his reputation and they mentioned three of four things that he's renowned for. I added a couple to that, hence why we've taken him until January."

"I think he's changed as a person. His partner is here with him and he's got a little baby now. And I think that will be good for him."

The Moroccan international was released by Crystal Palace in July after failing to score in 12 games last season and had an unsuccessful trial this summer with West Brom.

"It's not a long term commitment from the club. It gives him an opportunity to show what he can do" Warnock continued.

"He can play up front or in the hole behind. He's got a good football brain. So it's a matter of if he enjoys it he'll stay. If he doesn't do a job he'll leave."

Hardly the welcome he'd have been looking forward to lmao (Chamakh)
