What did people think of his performance on Saturday? I'm a bit undecided but 'probably OK' would be my verdict. Certainly an improvement on Kelly who, unusually for him, had a bit of a 'mare in the first half.

Fryers was all right, but if he will be put in team to defend against Mahrez he will probably have a nightmare. Prefer Kelly though in the long run....

He was there so we could go to a back three (which we did) and he could get some crosses in from the left. Was ok, but he still looks very nervous when closing people down.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

He is unable to curl a ball down the line with a clearance. Other than that I liked him.

Anything is better than having a right footed center back at left back. That really annoys me and was glaringly obvious Souare was our only decent option so we should have spent money.

I reckon Ashley Cole would have come back to us for a bit but if he's really dropped off the face of the Earth there are dozens of Championship left backs with natural left feet and some pace.

No that isn't an improvement on the starting 11 like we'd like but if we run out of budget we should have brought anybody in, it's our weakest position.

Didn't do much wrong, "did OK" as the other guy said. A better performance than Joel Ward put in, then.

Kelly "did OK" too - our problem was at right back in that game, not left.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

Agree with that except Ward was getting "double teamed" by Payet and Cresswell with little help from Zaha so I don't really blame him for looking like he had a bad game.

I thought that he wasn't very good. In my opinion he Showed he is anything but ready for the PL.

To be fair to him though, he wasn't alone

Under THOSE conditions he must have done okay. But did you see Cresswell? Now THAT'S the kind of LB we want. How much for one of those?

Joniesta to Ipswich might of swung the deal.
