We wouldn't have got that close if Mandanda hadn't made a double save!

With those players these results are unacceptably poor. Today we clearly had the capability to hurt Burnley quite badly but three more ridiculous absences in defence and we even throw away the point we'd managed to scramble back. That back four used to be a byword for solidity and robustness and now caught out the same way again and again. Last week two no-shows at corners and one straight through a vacant centre-back position. This week three balls up from conceded position in their final third and nobody to deal with it. It's totally unacceptable and this is the day that I'm finally over to the "Pardew out" camp. They're the same four players for God's sake. Ward. Dann. Delaney. Kelly. All that's different is Delaney's a year older (but we have Tomkins), no Jedinak, and oh yeah. Pardew.

cant see how you can blame a manager for our best player last season not managing to clear a ball, a top keeper who for some reason decided he couldnt save, and an england winger hitting the post when easier to score! Edited by thegreatlardino (05 Nov 2016 5.10pm)

It's quite simple... keep Pardew and we are in a relegation battle. Replace him with anyone and we will finish mid table comfortably. I really don't care who replaces him because whoever did would be rubbing there hands together taking over our side
