I've just checked the England squad for Scotland and to be honest i am a bit surprised to find Townsend in the squad.
Stoke aside he has been pretty inconsistent this season and i thought he had a bad game against Burnley.
Zaha on the other hand was great on saturday hardly giving the ball away and setting up the first goal for Wickham.He in my opinion has been more of a threat all season.
I think Southgate who was at the game on saturday may have wished he could choose the squad again.

I can't understand why England keep ignoring wilf, she should have played for the Ivory Coast. They just don't get it that players like Theo Walcott has never done it for England but they still get picked. International football is just so boring I dread the international breaks (and our form always drops after them)

Hopefully Southgate had a word with Wilf on Saturday at Burnley along the lines of, with these current matches where his job depends on it, he would rather go with experience than take any risks. Once he has the job full time he may give Wilf his chance.
Then again, I bet he didn't say anything to him at all!!
