A bit of light relief on a weekend off from Palace: Kerala Blasters' 3-1 win yesterday in the Indian Super League was reportedly Steve Coppell's 400th win in his managerial career (more than half of them for us).

2nd in the league and performing very well by all accounts.

Congrats Sir Steve! Still wish there was a role for him at Selhurst but glad his Asian adventure is going well.

George Courtney, the World Cup referee, everyone is looking at him. When will he blow....?

Great part of the world to have a little stint in as well Kerala is beautiful. He's got the right temperament and humility to become a legend there as well. What a true gent.

A great man and a great manager.
It's a puzzle why he gets overlooked when vacancies occur. With all due respect to Gareth, Stevie would be an ideal England manager, but it's never going to happen.
But he gave us some fantastic memories from when he was in charge at the Palace. He was only 28 when he started as a manager, turned out to be a master stroke by the much maligned Ron Noades .

Possibly because he can't be relied upon not to walk out on a job when he can't cope?

He's one of the game's gentlemen, an honest man,who can be relied upon not to take money under false pretences.
