I was pleased the show covered the minute's silence.

I think the club itself , plus the fans, did proud the memory of those who lost their lives in the tram crash.

Later, the footage of the action v City was very fair, especially in picking out Palace's better moments.

The only downside was the post-match analysis from IW and AS, with the latter gloating over Palace's poor points performance in 2016 and clearly revelling in Pardew's discomfort.

Fair assessment IMO. They are slowly going from Danny Murphy, who I rate, saying we'll be fine, to we're in trouble, which is true. It's different to sky who are a bit more week to week, especially Paul Merson.

Thought the analysis from Shearer and Wright was spot on about our plight. The team / Pardew need to buck up there ideas now or AP will be out. It's no good playing as well and entertaining as we have in recent times and then making stupid mistakes resulting in defeat s. We need to grind out some results starting with Swansea next (could be AP's last chance) and then Southampton home followed by Hull away. The January window is a big one and I think if we are going to try and play this style of football then we need at least three quality players in as this defence can't cope with this new style?

Good post but I worry about our run in. Have a look. We need to be safe early.

Not good reading I'm sure. Daggers relegated to non league have a better 2016 than us.

That's not what I saw as I saw Shearer quoting the very same facts that have been quoted on this forum for quite a while and stating what a poor run we have been on.

He was no more gloating than every Palace supporter is when quoting the same figures

It's a shame that City's play acting and time wasting tactics weren't shown or mentioned
I know best team won and all teams do it.
I thought City took it to the extreme, players going down holding their face, stretchers being called for,and then the "injured parties" straight back on as if nothing happened.
For a team with their wealth of talent the way they behaved after their 2nd goal was embarrassing and disgraceful.
Some of their players couldn't even leave the field at the end of play with any dignity, instead they behaved like a bunch of gloating yobs, and their manager wasn't much better.

Shearer's comments in the current scenario are not that unreasonable, but I get the feeling even if we start playing well he'll refuse to acknowledge it as he clearly dislikes AP.
