I'll have the same as him. Seemed to get magically cured within a minute - what a cock!

I wish some TV show would highlight these embarrassing idiots.

In other news, James Horwill suffers a slight injury and manages to stay upright...

It wasn't just Zabaletta - City's overall timewasting tactics were embarrassing. Take it in turns to fall down clutching their heads, wait as long as possible until the stretcher's on, limp off the pitch, then sprint back on within a second of play restarting completely injury-free.

I've lost a lot of respect for Guardiola after Saturday. The "best manager in the world" with the quality of players he has really shouldn't have to fall back on pathetic and blatant cheating to win games against teams like us.

I'm never normally that bothered by time wasting. We do it, everyone does it.

On Saturday though, I thought it was taking the piss and was disappointing to see. By all means, play the game a bit, but have a bit of class.

They took time wasting and faking injury to a new level. It was like watching Benny Hill when the stretcher bearers kept coming on and going straight off again.
And when they went off at the end a couple of their players where openly gloating over their victory and let the Palace fans know it, and Pep thought it was hilarious.
I hope they win nothing they have no class.

Anyone know what actually happened to Zabeletta that caused him to roll around in the first place? We were looking elsewhere and didn't catch it. Assumed it was something off the ball but nothing has been made of that in the press etc.

Him and Puncheon running back and Punchy caught his foot, went down like a stone. I'm surprised MOTD didn't pick up on it and show it in slo-mo several time tbh would have been a couple of weeks off for Punchy

I'd want our players to do the same in the same position. Anyone saying otherwise is an idiot or a liar. Take it as a compliment that they knew we were pressing and wanted to break up the game. It's called gamesmanship and is part and parcel of football.

Not sure if it was this incident but Wickham definatly fouled Zabeletta and was lucky to get away with it. Kicked out at him off the ball.

Gotta be that then, you only act like that if you are trying to get someone sent off. Pretty pathetic all round really!
Cheers

I'm an idiot then. Gamesmanship is playing to win by using the rules of the game. Taking the ball into the corner is gamesmanship, playing ticcy-tac with the keeper and back four is gamesmanship. Stealing a few seconds on a goal kick, or throw in.

Faking an injury and diving is just cheating, and its use actually undermines the well being of players who are genuinely injured, as they can lie on the pitch for some time as play continues. Regardless of how its phrased - its poor form and cannot be simply justified by saying 'its ok because we won'.
