Seems Pardew has well and truly had it. For me it only makes sense to bring a Big Sam and get some order and stability in the team, especially the back four. We'd be the most talented squad he's ever managed ( bar England) and would at least give us our best chance of survival, which is all that matters at the moment. Couldn't really care less about newspapers or 'style of play' . Any foreign manager with little/no premier league experience is asking for relegation.

He gets my vote, we must stay up and I believe he is the man for the job.

Odds on Pardew being next Prem manager out on his arse are, ironically enough, 5 - 4 on.

Allardyce is favourite replacement at 17 - 10 and the rest are at some distance. But some who are opposed to Allardyce should look at some of the names on that list, a few will make you wince. McCoist, anyone?

His record isn't as good as Pardews

He has the threat of an FA investigation hanging over him

His football is dire, we should look beyond the usual suspects

He has a face I would never tire of punching

Yes please.

Didn't realise Pardew and Pulis are Mary Poppins.

I was amazed he got the England job but I don't see anyone who would be better for us. I'd like to have gone down the route that Watford and Southampton have taken but unfortunately I don't think an unknown manager coming in during the season is the way forward.

The defence needs organisation, he will be able to provide that. Tomkins knows him, and he doesn't need be on an expensive long term contract considering what has just happened with his previous job.

It depends on how much we value our Prem status. If we do then its got to be Allardyce because he will kick our defenders *rses until they get their act together. I said last week that we needed to score 4 to make sure we win now even that is not enough. Its Big Sam or we are down

Pardew is taking us down. Send for Sam. His style of football is not pretty but he will keep us up

he is better than Pardew (indeed, he's completely done him tactically more than once). One thing's for sure: today would never have happened under him. 4 goals conceded from set pieces? no f***ing chance

Ask yourself what is important, do you want to stay up? If the answer is yes then Sam is your man (IMO)

Stars would suggest otherwise
