Paris st germain adopt this system and in 14 games conceded 8 and scored 28 only French league but certainly looks tight at back and scoring goals Question is do we have the players for this system or is it tactically beyond AP

I don't think the formation really matters too much at the moment, Pardew would be better off locking everyone in a room for a day and just getting everyone to get everything off their chest. Clearly if you have players like Delaney, who wear their heart on their sleeve, not even celebrating a goal and us collapsing every week there is something wrong that goes beyond the tactics. Players and management need to sit down, look each other in the eye and be honest about what's going wrong. Sort it out like men instead of pi$$ing and moaning.

Clearly if you have players like Delaney, who wear their heart on their sleeve, not even celebrating a goal and us collapsing every week there is something wrong that goes beyond the tactics.

What does it look like? GK Ward - Dann - Tomkins - Kelly Cabaye - Ledley McArthur - Puncheon ST - Benteke Zaha would need to be reinvented as a second striker. We'd need to channel the opp down the wings, forcing crosses into the box which is what we used to be good at. Delaney and Dann used to eat up crosses into the box, that may have slightly changed with these days teams increasingly likely to play 2 up front. Edited by Mad4palace (29 Nov 2016 1.06pm)

What does it look like?

Ward - Dann - Tomkins - Kelly

Cabaye - Ledley
McArthur - Puncheon

ST - Benteke

Zaha would need to be reinvented as a second striker. We'd need to channel the opp down the wings, forcing crosses into the box which is what we used to be good at. Delaney and Dann used to eat up crosses into the box, that may have slightly changed with these days teams increasingly likely to play 2 up front.
