We've recently just won a lawsuit against a certain Mr Tony Pulis and he now has to fork over something in the region of 3 million. If it were an option, who'd be tempted to say keep the 3 million but you HAVE to manage us until the end of the season.

I can hear you all whincing through your computer monitors but hear me out! There is no one else out there on the management merry-go-round particularly appealing as an upgrade and as we know, by May there will almost certainly be many more decent options.

But we need to stay up this season. It's imperative for the club really as we won't be the sort to come straight back up. Pulis would virtually guarantee that.

The football would be dire, the Manager wouldn't even want to be there (but for sake of hypothetical let's pretend he'd at least try his best), the Chairman would hate his manager and the fans would have to watch a regression in football style.

For me, very difficult decision but controversially I'd take the deal. I don't think Pards is right for us but there is slim pickings out there. I'd take the gamble that someone better will be available in May and that Pulis would keep us up in the meantime. I'd have to accept the rest of this season is a complete write off in terms of ambition though.
