Some back Pardew as the right man for the job, some don't. Whatever your view, what would he have to do to change your mind?

For example, I want him gone (now) but if we got 41 or more points this season I'd say I made a bad call.

Whether your an 'in' or an 'out' (and please state it for future reference): when would you say 'fair dues, I was wrong. I've now changed my mind'

If it became blatantly obvious / likely we'd hit 41, I'd also fess up before then.

(I don't think we will.)

I was in up until Swansea, it wasn't the fact we lost that changed my mind but shipping 5 goals when we were focusing on a clean sheet.

I am now a reluctant out, I will change my mind based on a combination of performance, points & final position. What that is I am not sure but if pushed probably finish somewhere between 10-14th.

Edit: I say final position but actually it could become apparent before then that he has restored my faith in him

Finally decided I wanted him out after the Swansea game but never saw the Southampton result coming. Feeling a little assured now, but Soton were really poor and if we lose to Hull I think Parish should start drawing up that managerial shortlist ASAP.

If we finish pretty comfortably clear of relegation (45+ points or so) I'll be happy. Our squad doesn't have the depth for us to be demanding a top-half finish.

I am currently a keep AP. Sure, if Klopp or Pep showed interested then I would get rid, but apart from them I don't see anybody I would have confidence to do much better.

Was gutted at the result at Swansea, and these raised questions in my mind. Not so much the loss but the shambolic defending by the players at the end. The question is mainly has the players lost faith and shown in their play. So if he loses the players then that would change my mind.

I think we have been really unlucky at times this season. We made the same mistakes previously, but because we didn't lose a goal nobody mentioned it.

I see more exciting football and love it now we look like scoring and play on the front foot.

I'm annoyed with him because, when he was appointed, I really, really wanted him to succeed (obviously, as long he's the manager, I still do) and it seemed he and Palace were a natural fit for each other. Over the last year, though, he's really put my nerves through the shredder and it was only after the Swansea game that I started to think enough was enough.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Hitting 41 points doesn't mean he is the right man for the job. The Premier League is quite weak this season with quite a few struggling sides.
I would happily admit i was wrong about Pardew if he sets us up correctly, makes good substitutions, has some kind of method to what we are doing. I can accept losing but when we look clueless and nothing changes week after week and from what i have seen and heard about him i just have no confidence in him and he will be sacked at some point.

If we lose to Hull, I might consider joining the out thinking. However, if we get to 19/20 points (maybe 18 ) by the turn of the season (19 games), that's fine, he can stay. Any more than 20 points is more than I had expected at the start of the season by halfway. Although, like most, hoped for 57.

I like the football we are playing, seeing Palace score has always made me happy(er), but we need to stop conceding so many. The Swansea game I will relegate to a bad day.

Keep him. I can't see any point having any of the touted replacements.

I first had serious doubts after the first half of the Wafford game when (I think) he played Mutch, Jedinak & Wickham together in some kind of midfield set up.

After four years in the prem and with the wage bill we now have we shouldn't be looking at a relegation battle.

Home games over the last year have been dire. Players who aren't good enough have been asked to pass the ball around with no purpose in our own third and have invited pressure and defensive mistakes. Then we chase the game with the main focus being Wilf. Defensive organisation has evaporated whilst the manager glibly says that clean sheets aren't a priority and then suddenly says they are prior to conceding five goals against the bottom side.

It also sounded from his interview on Radio 5 as though it took (at best) a row or (at worst) player intervention to achieve our first clean sheet in fifteen games.

I'll confess to being wrong if he turns it around and we avoid relegation comfortably with say five or six games to go. If we manage this then final position becomes irrelevant in my view.

Another debacle like the Swansea game would see me move into the "out" camp. To be honest we have to beat Hull, don't we?
