It must be soul destroying for the players to work their socks off only for pardew to blow it again by changing things round for no reason. Why does he always take McArthur off? It has backfired in the last two games. He is our best midfielder and has a great
engine. He was certainly OK for another 8-9 minutes.

Let's keep the ball this season!

If it had paid off every body would be singing his praises. Everyone has a right to their own opinion but the only opinion that really matters is that of the Directors. It seems we are going the way of the Newcastle fans trying to force Pardew out,he won't go of his own accord unless another Premier club come looking. There must be a reason why both Newcastle and Crystal Palace don't want to sack him and I don't think it is to do with money. Therefore we must accept the Status Quo.Parish and Co like the managers that he played under at Palace must see something that we can't see.Let us support the Palace and hope that 2016 was just a bad year points wise and all will change in 2017

How was that ever going to pay off?

We couldn't service one centre-forward from a strongish midfield, a fortiori we could not service two from a weakened midfield.

We were just about holding United off with a strongish midfield, therefore playing with a weakened one was obviously dangerous.

That was never going to pay off in those circumstances. We needed to close out the game for a point against superior opposition. Attempting to win it only made sense to a chancer like Pardew.

We are nothing whatsoever like Newcastle supporters. We've been incredibly patient and most of us have no greater mid-term ambition than staying in the PL, without flirting with relegation. There has been no public opposition to Pardew as yet. Supporters of even the most mild-mannered clubs would be publically seeking his execution by now. We must rank as some of the most tolerant supporters anywhere.

There were 4 minutes left against Man Utd and it was 1-1, when we'd have been delighted with a draw. So what does Pardew do ? Takes off our best midfielder and puts on a striker (and no offence to FC cos he works his socks off but he's hardly Sergio Aguero). If we'd been 2-1 down, fair enough but any other manager in this division would have kept what they had.Pardew showing what an arrogant man he is I'm afraid and going for a 20-1 shot cos his ego is so big rather than the odds on point we would/should have got. And again it has cost us. Parish has to get rid soon or it will be too late. We can blame the ref as much as we like, and god did he have a shocker (backed up by his equally incompetent linesmen)but I can't remember us throwing away a point in worse fashion for ages, and I include Swansea in that ! Seriously pissed off.

It's happened a lot more than that. dannyh has listed about 6 games Jimmac has come off for Pardiv to flush points down the sh1t pan.

Sack this t1t off soon Parish or take us down. That simple I'm afraid.

I've been pro Pardew and understanding of the transition to play "better" football throughout without complaint, and whilst I will still refuse to boo or voice my negativity on a match day (dont see the point in further unsettling the team/manager) his changes lost me yesterday. If Jimmy wasn't injured, there was no excuse. I thought Cabaye had a decent game but was spent for the last ten so could have understood that although I personally would have been closing the game out by taking off Wilf or Benteke. Flamini was injured I understand from other threads so that's obviously acceptable - Bringing on Fryers looked more like a message to Townsend to me than anything else, don't tell me it's because he's better defensively, he isn't good enough at that either.
Yes I think we have had bad luck and refereeing decisions have totally gone against us more often than not but you have to help yourself where you can and the failure to close a game out this season is more than a little worrying, its shambolic.

I'm genuinely concerned Alan, that we really are heading for the trapdoor. Because changing managers has its own risks, I keep hoping that AP will buckle down and do the right thing. Yesterday was classic Pardew, we had the chance of an unexpected point and he couldn't see it out. I'm just hoping that Parish's public support for him is just the façade of a smiling executioner and that the chop is very near. Let's hope, if so, he's got someone lined up who can hit the ground running and get the best out of this team.

You're absolutely right there! We put up with him for over five years.

Do you lot honestly think you could handle this for another three years?

As dannyh says... Pardew = Mildew

He's beginning to really p1ss me off now.

Even my Mrs (a Derby fan) could see that last substitution was wrong and weakened us rather than helped us go for the win.

Also our starting line up was shiite....

When Ledley eventually replaced Flamini we looked a much better balanced team.... why play Zaha as a "number 10" or whatever he was.... why not play him in his conventional role as a winger?

Of all the matches to spring a "surprise" FFS.

Unfortunately for us, "Mildew" wasn't the only one having a bad night.... was he Mr Pawson?!

unfortunately the man IS an arrogant spiv. no need to re-write whats been posted before but he threw the point away needlessly using a tactic that has backfired several times this season.
