There have several things repeated as gospel on here over the last couple of months and I cannot find anything to substantiate the claims. The two main ones are: Pardew signed a new deal in the summer. I can only find links to the fact talks were ongoing The Americans investment is ring fenced for ground improvements.

I think the US pair have invested way above the initial purchase. That initial purchase was about £11mil or something. Palace was valued at £100mil or something when they bought in and after redevelopments valuation would rise to over £200mil. These are ballpark figures and I may be well out but you get the general idea. As they made a large investment the % of shares, if I remember correctly, for 3 owners were reduced and another wanted to cash in. Share ownership was recalculated based on future valuation after redevelopments. Edited by Rudi Hedman (16 Dec 2016 3.17pm)

Holloway crapped himself in the dressing room at Brighton and then used it as a motivation ploy. The former may well be true, however.

The AP new contract didn't appear to be formally announced in the summer but as a few papers are saying it will cost £5m to remove him i think it's fair to assume it has been signed. The extra investment by the yanks has been earmarked for ground improvements not ringfenced. The difference is crucial - they want to spend it on the ground in an ideal world, but say we went down there may need to be a rethink. The money they initially put in (c£50m i think) did not go into the pockets of the 4 other owners it bought new shares - hence they now own 18% each. So whilst the % of shares owned by the CPFC2010 4 has reduced the value of each of these shares has risen (as the club has an extra £50m in the bank) and has the potential to rise further. So my understanding is that the extra £50m is in the bank as the CPFC 2010 specifically said that all monies will be invested in the club

Pards has not reached the sell by date MYTH
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
