Yeh, I blame Simon Jordan for this. I was again reminded by Gary Neville that Palace have the worst record in 2016 of all 92 professional teams. That is pretty indefensible isn’t it? I am the first to roll my eyes at the new craze of sacking managers after 3 losses but this is bordering unprecedented in the Premier league. Villa had deadly Doug and we have fluffy Steve. Fluffy Steve is kind of a walking overreaction to the madness of Jordan, he is meek where Jordan was boisterous. He is placid and slow where Jordan was rash and reckless. Point is we need to be somewhere in the middle. Surely the yank investors must be wanting Pardew out, especially after he insulted them in an interview, so Parish now runs the risk of totally alienating the rich investors – not a great idea. Will we get the transfer money we need in January with Pardew still in charge? Sometimes in football it just stops working, there is no rhyme or reason (in Pardew’s case I could name a few) but sometimes you just have to make a change. I don’t think there is a single Premier league chairman who would have not fired the manager after the Swansea game, given the preceding months of dross? If we go down, and we are a long, long way from that, but if we do, Parish needs to go.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

But for the last 12 months we have just been unlucky...

We are a team in transition...

How can you sack Pardew as there are no other managers anywhere in the world who would come to us and possibly do a better job... Therefore we must stick with him forever...

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

How anyone can criticise Parish is beyond me.What he's done for this club in the time he's been here is nothing short of miraculous. One of the best and most intelligent chairman in football today. If we was 10 points adrift at the bottom then yeah and I believe if we don't get one win out of the next four then Parish will have no choice. And he hardly insulted the investors, Parish explained how the other investors (not Harris and Blitzer) admitted at a meal/meeting that they didn't know much about the game and that's where that came from but the media jump on it and don't explain that side of it because obviously all they are interested in is a story and ruining people at the same time.Dont get me wrong I can't stand the s*** football at the moment and I've never liked Pardew and still don't but Parish is blameless in this.I think he's played it perfectly actually because he's given him plenty of time to turn it around but not to the point where we are deep in the s*** and that's why I think he'll give him four more games and that's it because if we don't win any of them then we will be on the verge of being totally in the s***.

If the results stay the way they are at the moment, we will be 17th one point off the relegation places....how are we a long way from that?

It wasn't just the media as most HOL posters leapt on it and refused to believe that it was anything other than a direct insult to Harris and Blitzer

I think we've already reached the 'verge'. If we don't get anything decent out of the next four, we'll be well in the cack. If Parish's criteria for getting rid really were to be '10 points adrift' with 17 games to go then I'd have to question his sanity (which I don't, incidentally).

If he sticks with Pardew and we go down, I think one or two people might be of the opinion that he should have acted decisively earlier and replaced him. Personally, I think the light-bulb moment will be after the Watford game. Even if we get a result, it'll be too little, too late. Whatever happens, AP won't be here when 2017 dawns. Parish is not (I'm hoping and praying) that stupid.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

People will believe what they want though.Im sure if we was sitting in 5th position the majority would be believing Parish.I can't see the Yanks being quiet about it if there was something in it.Another nothing story that was blown up massively just to fill a little space in a paper.

Leicester winning the league is a 1 in a 100 year situation. Pardew is not the man anymore and but its already too late to salvage the January transfer window. Parish is loco for not firing AP after Swansea, just bonkers.

Yes but us possibly going on a little run and getting out the s*** is not a 1 in a 100 year situation. Also how is it too late to "salvage the january transfer window" when we're not even in january yet?
All Im saying is I can see why Parish would be wary of getting rid too soon when you look at clubs like Villa, Swansea, Wolves, QPR, Newcastle and more, although I agree its not too soon now and thats why I reckon another 3/4 games and he's gone. That way Parish can say Ive given him a really good go at it, provided him with the funds to put together a good squad and we're still not loads of points adrift with no chance as theres 3 worse teams than us and I believe there will still be at least 3 worse teams than us at the end of the season.
