No thanks.

If this is the best we can do then we are already doomed

It was Allardyce who signed him for W.Ham from A.Villa for I think £2.5 Mill although the article says £3.5 Mill.Does get his head on a number of balls but can be susceptible to pace.Actually started off as a striker when a teenager at Cardiff.

Very informative WIllo. We are now in a relegation dogfight and the objective must be to finish 4th from bottom or above. Tomkins has already shown himself to be injury prone, so Collins might be a good short term solution. We obviously need an LB/left midfielder, and hopefully Robby Brady will sign, if Leicester dont get him first.

Given Remy's injury problems we might also need another striker, given that Benteke is out and we dont know for how long yet. We couldprobs do with another DM too.

Always impressed me in the past, Tomkins has been a big disappointment so far.

How much money have CPFC wasted buying cheap crap? I can't be bothered writing a list and doing the maths. We all know the players we've bought who have not performed. It's a false economy. Wasting millions in fees and salaries. And what's this "20 million January transfer budget" crap? We need to spend 50-60 million. How much do we lose if we go down and don't come back up for 3-4 years? But what do I know? It's not my money.

By saying the above I am not suggesting JC wouldn't be good business. TBH I don't know him. It's just the money BFS's been given to work with when we need serious repair.

To me this sums up the summer transfers (despite it being a decent window), which did not fully address the problems in the squad. They are only now being addressed, and are going to cost way more because of this. It did not help that Ap made it clear he thought we had enough cover at Cb and LB.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.
