I'm not usually one for posting negative comments or singling individuals out on here but this guy is absolutely woeful.
At fault again for the second goal last night, playing Rangel onside. I've managed to see pretty much every game over the last 3 months in Africa and I kid you not, in every single game, he gives the opposition at least one gilt edged chance to score, be it poor positioning, giving the all away or slicing a clearance/missing a header.
He can't pass, can't run, he looks tentative and s*** scared every time he gets the ball. I'd rather we played Ledley at LB and Wardy at RB than this guy.
A sad indictment of the FA and England set-up that this guy got anywhere near the national side.
Why are we persisting when he's been found out? I get the impression he's a nice lad but that can't be the only reason he's playing can it?!

Have to agree. Lost count of thd number if times HD passed thd ball to an opponent or passed it straight out of play. And no excuse for the goal, he was looking straight along the line and should have stepped up to catch him offside. Not even sure why he was that deep....sadly like a lot of hhfm confidence completely shot.

Back up squad player not good enough to be in the starting 11 week on week shocker.

Kelly isn't s**t, but he's never really been considered more than the 'other full back'. He plays when Soare or Ward can't.

People need to stop thinking that Kelly is playing because of anything other than necessity to cover long term injury.

Not defending Kelly, but a big issue last night was that our midfield went walkabout for too much of the game. There was a heavy reliance on building from the back, including making the defence the link to the front line. Let's face it our defenders are not the most skilful of footballers and expecting them to play quality balls up to the attack proved to be our undoing.

Kelly is workmanlike and no better. Let's not overlook he put the ball in for the one piece of quality on show from Palace last night. He also put in a few decent crosses in the Man U game. As for mis placed passes you could say the same about the whole team last night and against Arsenal.

Pardew has destroyed him playing him at left back all that time. Should've been Ward at left back and maybe bring fryers on and switch them over.

Confidence shot to pieces.
