Yeah, we need to build the team around local lads like Mile Jedinak.

Absolute load of waffle.

This is so vague it's almost meaningless.

We do need stronger characters like Jedinak in the team but it was Pardew’s error in keeping or replacing them. Pardew of course had their 100% support but they’re clearly not happy with Allardyce who has brought been specifically to get some of those fighting qualities back.

Going on about the lights or giving t-shirts to away fans. No one gives a monkeys.

Has anyone ever referred to Selhurst a ‘stadium bowl’?

As I said. A load of waffle.

Apart from the Jedinak bit(he's not local), I find it hard to disagree with the sentiment that the statement tries to make.
The expectations of some of the 'support', that now packs out Selhurst park, is extremely negative and this affects everyone at the club from other supporters to the players and staff.
It does feel quite a way away from the unconditional support and togetherness that got us here.
What happened to the 'South London & Proud' and the 'Born in South London' advertisements that we used to see everywhere!?
I don't fully agree with the entire statement but can understand very much where they are coming from!

Couldn't agree more! The soul of the club is being ripped out and something has to be done about that -- looking around social media and the message boards it's clear that this is the feeling of many as well, not just a few.
Time for the fans to reclaim the culture of the club and remind those in charge what Palace is built upon, south london foundations, local support and genuine footballing passion, not w***y corporate gimmicks.
Don't know why people are suggesting that the HF are in any way pro-Pardew either. This statement clearly criticises the direction he was taking the club in and his name wasn't sung for months in the ground.

Either way, good luck with the fight lads! Time to galvanise the support and make the club something South London can be proud of again, not just SE25's own carbon copy to every other soulless club in the league.

The HF really need to collectively see a physician as every time they open their mouths sh1t pours out of it

There is some right re: away fan cosiness and a lot ridiculously incorrect or hypocritical tosh in that digital flyer.

1. Light shows. Same as the TV gantries for more TV views. We have no choice. We have to adhere to their rules. The money has to be spent on them and we wouldn't have the money to spend on them if it wasn't for the Prem.

2. Selhurst referred to as Stadium Bowl. WTF? I mean, what THE F*CK? I've never heard that, ever. Maybe if you're watching via a US or Canadian channel.

3. Since admin our teams have been built on local lads? Clyne, Scannell, Zaha, Punch (who was a Wimbledon youth and only came when we could fulfil his ambition, not that I'm knocking him for it). Apologies if I've missed out any others but you can count those on the fingers of one hand, over 7 seasons.

4. Leaders working as a team. 'LOSING' Jedinak and sidelining others who inspired the support? Erm, it was the manager they couldn't stop singing about who 'LOST' ahem, Jedinak and sidelined others, nobody else. Ask Speroni next time you speak to him. Pulis wanted characters and they disliked him. Pardew doesn't want them and they adore him.

5.'As we move towards a bland generic Premier League identity, we change expectations which lead to negativity.' Just f*** off. If you were old enough to be at Highbury when we went down, or any season from the top tier then you will know how much it hurts, globalisation or not, and how much we want to stay.

Do us all a favour. We respect the atmosphere but there are 24,000 fans at home, not 60. And tell the media attention seeking idiot with the 'Corruption not welcome' banner to think about our future and not his messages to the world. Nobody cares. We care about staying up.

Just get behind the players and stop trying to kid yourselves the world is listening.

(I agree with not making the away fans feel cosy)

I agree that the culture of our club is leaning somewhat towards a more commercialised and Americanised culture.

The values that made us unique as a club have severely diminished and the attempts to make us into some kind of money making world brand feels embarrassing and fake.

I much preferred the little old Palace and underdog mentality we used to have as this brings about a certain type of team culture and bond with the fans that is refreshing and slightly unique in this league

It appears that as we have wandered from this culture of old, our togetherness, atmosphere and results have took a turn from the worst.

Lets get back that feeling of old!

It went wrong with their idolised manager trying to entertain the world and its neutrals, that is what.

But this idiot conveniently forgets that, forgets AP sidelined Speroni ASAP, wanted him out ASAP and it took Parish to stand in and tell him in no uncertain terms Speroni leaves last.

The atmosphere vs Swansea was 12 months of sh&t coming to a head, from the manager they and only they wanted to keep hailing as some sort of hero. They don't know or want to acknowledge how much he wanted to end all of what we loved.

Erm, it was. They were singing his name up to the last few home games.
