"We only have three centre-backs and two full-backs". Wonder who he's left out?

I like what he said. Do you get the impression that our new boss has worked out what our problems are more than the old did.

Meanwhile in Bilic's press conference, it's confirmed that Payet is refusing to play on Saturday. [Link]

What does everyone think is better...to play against West Ham with Payet in the team but not wanting to play and most likely not playing to his usual levels or just him not playing at all?

Sometimes when a player reacts like he has it can bring the rest of the squad together. Sometimes it can split them apart.

which is why he's no longer training with the first team. Bilic may have said that Payet has refused to train but i bet its the other way round.

I'm more than happy to hear of the unrest in the squad. Their best player being excluded from training for whatever reason is good news in my eyes.

Their on bad run compared to last year and no one will be happy hearing there best player wants to leave and isn't training with them.

Yes they might all try harder but I'll take the odds.

Can also see this giving our lads a huge lift.

Can only see a palace win now...

I think that's so harsh on Fryers. In no way can Fryers be worse than Ward as left back. At least he's left footed and can cross.

Allardyce hasn't changed 1 thing since he came. Kelly is still right back, Ward is still left back. Townsend still plays on the right (and people bitch slap Townsend for wanting to play there when it's the manager who decides where and how).

I mean, they could have named the assistant as manager, they could have named a youth team coach and even the cleaning lady. If all Allardyce does is say: "Keep the Pardew formation" then what does he do actually? Give motivational speeches? Pfff

I think that's really harsh on Allardyce. Given the amount of players available to him since he's been here there's not been much he can do.

Are you kidding! Townsend has come out and stated his favoured position is on the right and after meeting the new manager he was looking forward to a run of games on the right hand side. That's his own words I wouldn't make it up. It really frustrated me reading it, because most would agree Zaha has simply been better than Townsend this season so Townsend should be putting more effort into making the left side work for him. I find his attitude lazy and a little selfish. He should be concerned with what's best for the team and not what's the better position to cut inside and score from.

Townsend is a lazy prick. I hope he kicks on under BFS but I will never respect him. He has shown no desire or commitment and is not a team player. He clearly has ability and I hope that shines through but I don't think he will ever be a fan favourite. His attitude towards being played on the left stinks and can be compared to Wilf who always puts a shift in, every single match. I don't care how you feel about Pardew, the buck has to stop with the players. And while I feel that a change was needed, we could have Klopp and mourinho in and we still wouldn't win unless the players buck up. It's underperforming players like him, Dann, Tomkins and Punch who have to take the majority of the blame for our current position.
