...have shown what a little passion can do. Huge congrats to them. Take note CPFC.

I'm sorry if you think this is a pointless thread, but I don't think this can be overstated right now

Loved every second of it, had to chuckle at Pards being there though...

Just four relegations and we can have all the passion we want back in the team. Remember 90% of the time passion from inferior teams gets diddly squat on a weekly basis.

His next management job should be in the 5th tier of English football !

Pards was in the directors box as well. Maybe discussing the terms of his next managerial post.

I would think Pards is having a good laugh at us right now as we all expected BFS to be coming in and getting us up the league as did SP but it has not worked and we are even in worse place than before Pards was sacked !!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Yes but they did it didn't they? The gap between them and Leeds and us and Citeh was far wider. They got through with a bang we went out with a whimper.

They had passion, we have a manager leading a team that can't be ars#d as long as they get that big cheque.

We have lost our heart and soul they have kept theirs.

It's a terrible comparison. For a lot of them it's the biggest game they'll ever play in. For us, the City game was something to get out of the way so we can concentrate on trying to stay up.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

So-called giant killings happen in the cup; it's all part of the magic, but I don't think it serves any useful purpose to make comparisons between us and them. We put out almost all PL teams on the way to the final last year, but I don't think that told us much about anything, did it?

They aren't really giant killings anymore. Leeds made 10 changes to their last league game, so obviously more interested in possible promotion, as most top teams now field reserves.
Unless the give the winners a Champion League place, the FA cup will remain a shadow of its former glory.

Indeed, hence my use of 'so-called'.

I don't buy that is apologist nonsense. Yesterday I saw a group of players who failed to function as a team and who looked in the main like they simply did not care. These were players who were either first team regulars or on the fringes playing for the shirt

We were worse than a few short weeks ago when we played them in the league and arguably they put out a more weakened team yesterday than we did.

If you think it is somehow acceptable to simply not try fine, but then don't charge the gullible £25 to watch it.
