What a difference a month makes.
We're looking like a cohesive unit now. Unlike the shambles we were under Supa Al.
It's early days but I've a feeling we might just get out of this mess.

Babs and Clean Willie were in love they said....

Pardew was shyte.

In Sam the Eagle we trust.

The same players are now finding some self confidence, hunger and happiness in their task.

Eze Peasy at Anfield....

One day people will get over the need to mention pardew on every thread. Jeesus grow a pair.

This topic a bit premature as Allardyce he hasnt had a brilliant month points wise has he, but then Ive just realised its just another way to keep harping on about the past and blame pardew.

Tuesday's performance was a lot better, if we see this continue then we will be able to say SA has put hiss tamp on the team.

under AP we had a crap run then one great game and it's ''transition has worked'' then back to bad results, so yeah whilst tuesday was more palace and what we want to see, we need to see more to see that it stays and is legit.

sam has done well he is a good manager and we have slowly improved ,its still going to be tough for us to stay in this division as the teams around us have improved as well, but lets not forget what a mess he found when he first came here ie unfit demoralised players who had forgotten how to defend ,i just hope we have enough time for him to turn it around i think we will need at least 38 points + and he and the owners have done well bringing new players in but they will need time to gel

Good post and agree with it. Sam mentioned that there are no moe midweek games for a while so he will have more time to work with the players, and to integrate the new players into the team Trouble is the last month of the season is against top 6 teams, so we need to be well clear of the drop zone in the next 6 weeks

Haha, you are so right mate. There are a couple of posters that just can't help themselves. It's like the Inbetweeners when Jay keeps mentioning his birds name and the others do a mock alarm sound. Pardew.....mim mim mim mim mim!

What happens is, much like up at Newcastle I reckon, somebody can't let it go. Then somebody makes a thing of how they can't let it go. Then someone else pipes up that, yeah, they can't let it go.

Then a smart arse like me comes along and picks that person up for extending the boring pardew chat. Then someone else, who's maybe not quite full shilling, wades in calling Pardew a rude name.

Then someone else thinks. f*** it. I'm in. I hated that guy pardew. I'll just say something.

Before you know it, the intellectual colossi* of HOL -- bexleydave and Rudin hedman -- are having it.

*doesn't look right as the plural of colossus but there you go

We looked better against Everton and so much better against Bournemouth.
We have bought well in the window - only time will tell of course whether they gel and work but Schlupp and Van Aanholt both look good to me.
Sunderland will be interesting as we will probably have to play on the front foot as we will not be the team who is counter attacking.
Things are turning slowly - let's hope that continues this weekend.

I thought Schlupp looked good, but I'm going to reserve judgement on Van Aanholt. I thought he looked a little devoid of positional sense the other night and the previous games I've seen him in a Sunderland shirt. Early days yet though.
