I'm confident because there is so much quality now in our squad, but i'm also realistic to know that there is still plenty to do before we can open up the champagne and cigars!! We should never have found ourselves in position even before Big Sam made these recent signings. But if we do eventually stay up, i must say i do think the future is incredibly bright. I may need to permanently wear shades!!!!

Big Sam having a whole pre-season with the squad, able to use his renowned experience regarding fitness techniques, to get ourselves better prepared for the start of the season. Already he has shown he is light years ahead of Pardew in identifying weaknesses in the squad and has brought in the right players for those positions that needed strengthening. To have a whole summer to bring in more better quality players and clear out the likes of Campbell, Mutch, Kelly, Fryers, Ledley etc. Of course we will have Connor Wickham and Pape Souare back next season after their injuries which will feel like two new signings anyway. In particular i think Wickham is a far better player than many people on here think, and will be a Premier forward for years to come if we can keep him fit

As much as i think we will stay up, judging by the in game simulation i wouldn't particularly trust their predictions
