In addition to needing a baby walker to keep him on his feet needs a break as last two games would have to admit two average at best full backs had him in their pockets

Every time he got the ball he had three men on him. Same with the Sunderland game. Maybe if we were more of a threat in other areas of the pitch we wouldn't have to rely on one man. This thread is just like palace today, pointless.

How wrong can people be?
You try keeping your feet when you're constantly taking a kicking. For such a poor player he don't half get some special treatment.

How can we drop our only attacking and semi dangerous player? He's the only player that gives you a bit of excitement when he's got the ball. We need Wilf and we need him on form and doing the business if we're going to get out of this mess.

Another one of these he can't do anything wrong brigade.I love an on song wilf but in the last couple of games he's not been at his best by a long way.Your comments a tad incorrect as prior to the ACNM he was outstanding even with2/3 markers. The fact that he falls over every time is surely a reason efs reject many of his claims for a foul think you may have something though as maybe SA should have put 3 on Defoe

When you only ever receive a slow pass from your fall back with your back to goal just past the halfway line there's not a great deal you can do. He needs rest of team to move up the pitch and give him something to run forwards with.

Wilf now getting the same disrespectful s***e Yannick was getting on here from the "If they offer £25m we should rip their arms off" brigade.
Selling Yannick was a smart move wasn't it, because he's a show pony, doesn't do enough, always falling over. Sick that some on here disrespect players like these rather than realise they were/are a massive part of why we got to where we are.
Double and triple teamed, fouled at will with absolutely no protection from the ref. Larsson last week was the epitome of how refs feel it's OK to kick Wilf and yet if Wilf complains, he's a baby.
So many wingers fall very regularly, why? Because they are kicked and tripped continuously, Hazard, Sterling,Mahrez the most dangerous players and if you don't go down you get f*** all and if you play for a smaller club you get less. If as some like to point out it's falling over that costs him free kicks then you are confirming that refs cheat, because that's the only logical explanation.
Still we'll see a massive improvement next season when he's gone.

What Wilf needs is a psych refocus. At the moment if he is focussed on playing football he is brilliant but if the defenders niggle, foul and irritate him he loses it and he can't cope with the fact - and it is a fact - that referees sometimes won't protect him. Atkinson yesterday allowed Stoke to do all sorts of s*** to him, and the only action he took was to book him the first time he opened his mouth about it. After that it was easy for Martins Indi to take him out of the game just by winding him up. Same against Sunderland where Larsson should perfectly obviously have been sent off.

He needs to rise about this s*** because the only way to defeat it is to play football.

Dangermouse the post was wilf needs a break not wilf has to go I'm a big wilf fan I think his exertions prior to ACN have drained him at the moment and maybe a two week break would bring him back in top exciting wilf form. You can't be serious that he's fouled every time he goes to ground as he does drop at the slightest touch.Perhaps if he stayed on his feet occasionally he would gain some respect from the ref and gain free kicks when he's genuinely fouled.

He is constantly fouled and as far as I know it's not up to the ref to respect him, it's up to him to do his bloody job.

The problem is though, that now his confidence is down and he's feeling he's being victimised. Maybe time for the manager to take the Fergie approach and put it in the public domain that his player is not being protected. Trouble is when you're at the bottom it looks like excuse making. Fergie could do it from a position of strength.
