Roger has died, aged 75.
Many of our older supporters will remember Roger from the mid 1960's. Best to describe him as an uncompromising full back, not one you could describe his type of play as pretty!
Condolences to Roger's family.

Very sad same kind of player as Duncan Forbes and Chopper Haris, loved to hate them.

Roger was a centre half, not full back. Strong as an ox.

With respect, Roger only played 30 or so games for us - over 45 years ago. Somewhere approaching 200 overall for Birmingham after leaving us, I expect they will mark his passing. RIP Roger.

Agreed Oldfella,Roger played for us 69/70 cost £22,000.00.!!!
Could buy him with a Credit Card nowadays.!!!!

I had forgotten all about Roger..until I read this sad news..No matter what, he was a Palace man..RIP Roger..

 


Here since 81...(LAST CENTURY !!).. x-Dunraven School, early 1960.... Palace 'nut' since 58....
