Hopefully PVA back for Chelsea. I wasn't impressed with schlupp, his positioning was ok but when he was on the ball, he often over run it. Who do you prefer ?

They both impress me PVA probably has a little more finesse and does like a pop at goal.
On the other hand Schlupp has a greater physical presence, his style makes him appear a little clumsy at times but while he knows how to clear his lines ,he is also happy to pass the ball, which he can do accurately.

I'd personally go with PVA but still been impressed with Schlopp so far. I always thought Schlopp was more of a winger. Either is an upgrade on Souare or Kelly.

If we sell Wilf in the summer I think we'll see both in the team next year with PVA at left back and Schlopp left mid.

I prefer PVA. He's the more intelligent (footballing-wise) of the two, and I think that's more important for a FB. In my eyes PVA is 1st choice, but Schlupp is cover for LB and the wing.

I was chatting to my friend recently and he remarked that Van Aanholt was born in 's-Hertogenbosch to parents from Curaçao. He is the cousin of fellow Dutch international Leroy Fer, who currently plays for Swansea City.

Not so sure. Souare was exciting going forward and i am sure losing him was the main reason for our slump in form. By the way, autocorrect changes souare to donate. Bizarre.

Neither has played enough to make this judgement, but if pushed, PVA; as he seems to be the current preferred LB by SA.

Most important point: both are very capable

Makes a nice change to have a genuine choice in a position which in recent history has been at best one man (Souare) and at worst, the least worst option of players playing out of position.

PVA definitely, but that's no criticism of Schlupp who is keeping Townsend focused as f**k.
