Now 45 years as a Palace fan has taught me never to be cocky or over-confident, however I feel the boys could well muller an opponent in the near future (maybe 'injuries permitting). What does anyone else think? Who's the most likely candidate to feel our wrath?

(I think 'please let it be Arsenal'!!)

i don't know about 'Muller'... but we owe Arsenal a sound beating.

We always play well against them but lose.

This time round I reckon Sakho can contain Giroud (and he won't score a spawny goal either).... and their defence is ripe for the taking.

I am looking forward to next Monday for sure.

Sam has a reasonable record v Wenger over the years... lets hope we can p1ss arsene off completely!

A 1-0 win is just as important as as 3+ win. I suggest I you want to watch a team that thrashes team. May I suggest Celtic storming the league. Potential champions today.

Imagine if Wilf had scored again yesterday towards the end.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've got some still-tacky paint that I need to keep an eye on.

A completely irrelevant answer that isn't even true

No, I can't see us spanking anyone this season. Even the so called easier games will be nervy and probably settled by one or two goals.

And, as much as we have improved (massive understatement) it is still quite possible for us to be on the receiving end of a mullering. With a bit of luck, Chelsea could have done it yesterday.

Hopefully I'm wrong. It would be nice to be relaxed at a football match for a change. Probably not in my nature though, 5-0 up with 3 minutes to go and I'd still be wondering if it's possible to concede 6.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

We're Palace, we intentionally do this making it very hard to muller someone. Oh, our best player Zaha one on one with Courtois to end the game and calm the nerves? Nah too easy, let's make the fans hearts race.

Just like when we were docked 10 points and we absolutely battered our last home game opponents (can't remember who). Should we win this game we're dominating? Nah, let's make it go to the last game at Hillsborough against the team we'd be relegating.

Gotta love it.
