I reckon two wins will do it, or one win and three draws. Yes 37 points should be enough, especially if Middlesbro beat Hull on Wednesday and Swansea lose to Tottenham. In fact Middlesbro may as well get a couple of positive results against the relegation rivals because they have still got to play the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea in their last five games. Also, we can forget about Sunderland now.

The way we are playing now and the quality of the players we have, we should get at least 40 points anyway

Why would m'boro beat hull at the KFC stadium. Where they havent lost under Marco silva . Sam mentioned a point a game keeps you up so we need 7 pts. That would mean hull would need to reach 39 pts to be above us needing 12pts

Looking upwards instead of downwards, it's incredible how the table has compressed itself. If I've got my sums right, a big win at Southampton could put us 10th in the table!

I'm not predicting it; just using it to illustrate how tight things have become.

Immediate apology; someone else made a similar observation under another topic i.e. that a big win at Soton would put us above them.

I saw that earlier, if we beat So'ton 3-0 we are on exactly the same record, beat them by 4 goals and we go above them, albeit they have a game in hand.
But yeah, the area is congested, but we still aren't home and dry just yet.

today's result with swansea helped.

I think today's match was the perfect outcome for us. Lifeless, dull and no momentum for either team. Both could still be relegated and (although virtually impossible now for Boro) both could stay up, so denying each other 2 points was ideal.

The steam appears to be out of Swansea's sails after their revival and they could find themselves back in the relegation area after Wednesday night. Not being able to score today will have hurt their confidence while even the sacking or Karanka hasn't helped Boro find the net. At this stage, the result today really couldn't have been any better.

It's a massive April for us.
Saints == We've got the momentum, but will be a tough game
Arsenal == Who knows which Arsenal will rock up.
Leicester == a game with 2 form teams (hopefully still by then) could be a great game of football
'Pool == unbeatable when they want to be. gotto expect a loss
Spurs == see 'Pool above
Burnley == the easiest game of April. We're rubbish at easy games!

Any one of our Games could go either way. all winnable, all losable. 3 points at So'ton will go a long way to affording us a little breathing space and a relieve a bit more pressure.

Hull are clinging on - as good a win as Chelsea was, it was negated somewhat by Hull winning. It wouldn't surprise me if both them and Swansea escaped relegation(providing Llorente comes back), meaning we have to keep picking up points and get higher up the table.

They said on MOTD that Marco Silva hasn't lost a home game for any of the teams he has managed for 3.5 years. That was a worrying stat for sure. Fortunately we have to play Hull at Selhurst where our form has improved and their away form is nothing like as good as their home form. I still think Hull will survive. I reckon there are a few teams above us looking nervously over their shoulder.

Yes I agree, I think Hull have got enough fight to get themselves out of relegation.
I had a text from my West Ham mate when we were in free fall, saying 'You're going down'. If we win on Wednesday and they lose, we go above them. I'd love to see them go down!

That's quite a feat!
Lets hope we can get a few more points on the board. The more teams are in this relegation fight, the better our chances.

There isn't a team in the Prem that i'd rather see drop than Wet Spam. Horrible fans, Horrible club.

Would love to see them sack the manager (cos he's better than them) and watch them plummet out of it. Sh1te team, sh1te fans, sh1te club and sh1te ground.
