As you can see from the stats, which are based on highly improbable outcomes, it wouldn't achieve the outcome desired by the Greens. And they could stand aside and recommend a Labour vote anyway.

It will be nice that you could fit the MP's from this 'pack' in a Fiat 125 after the election.

From the man who supports Jeremy Corbyn. A leader who won't defend his own country with a nuclear deterrent.

Both Corbyn and Farron have already ruled out any sort of coalition, but Stergeon's up for it. Mind you, that doesn't rule out a Lib/Lab style pact with other parties, as negotiated by Callaghan in 1977.

Sure the Tories will get an overall majority so talk of other parties forming coalitions will be meaningless. What will be interesting is any changes round the fringes of the other parties. How many seats will Labour loose. Will the Lib Dems gain more than 1 or 2. Will UKIP win any seats. Will the SNP loose any seats, and if so how many, will be particularly interesting.

Defeats the very concept of democracy. Much as I dislike the Conservatives, they won as fair and square as the rules allow. You can't just have democracy on your own terms. We wouldn't have this kind of f**ked up unrepresented government if the Liberals had stuck to their guns on Proportional Representation rather than the Alternative Vote. Labour had plenty of chances to reform the system of elections and representation and did so only to give them an edge. Obviously, from the Greens perspective, its a good tactic. One seat, relatively safe, and they can target specific seats, where they could, with the labour and lib dem support, win more.

Obviously, from the Greens perspective, its a good tactic. One seat, relatively safe, and they can target specific seats, where they could, with the labour and lib dem support, win more. But when you look at where the Green's are strong (by their standards) it is in urban Labour seats. Which is why it's curious they want a pact with Labour, which is their main obstacle to progress in terms of seats won.
