Went on to read the Swansea forum last night and found this: Links to this article from Wales Online 'Mark Hughes: "It is important for Welsh football that Swansea City remain in the Premier League" He says “We’ve helped them in terms of what they’re hoping for from the games they’ve got left. I’m sure they’ll do everything they can to stay up. “It’s important for Welsh football clearly if they can stay in the league. But they have to go out there and do it.” Could never prove anything but Swansea fans saying he told his players to relax and Arnautovic looked relaxed when he took the pen... I know they've been on the beach for weeks, but their performance was dreadful and they have been picking up the odd point.

I think Welsh clubs should break away from "English" football altogether, Makes sense,great chance for one of them to play European football. The smaller welsh clubs would benefit in terms of increased revenue. Failing that chip it off and float it off towards Ireland.

If Welsh football is so '' important '' why don't Swansea and Cardiff f*** off to the Welsh League ? I wouldn't miss either of those clubs

I wouldn't miss either of those clubs Plus they'd get to play in the early(est) rounds of the Champions League, and win trophies probably every other year. The sad thing, though, is that its at the deterement of the Welsh league that Swansea and Cardiff aren't part of it.

I wouldn't mind a british cup - say scrapping the league cup and having home nations play each other - barry island against Liverpool... Dundee v palace, I'd enjoy that.

Ireland got a welsh holy man , Saint Patrick , he drove the snakes out of the country and we have still not got over the theocracy fundamentalism. Sparky hughes is a monumental pain in da hole.
