Its funny how different you feel when you wake up the following day with a clearer head and you realise how things have actually improved for us in the space of 24 hours!!! Imagine being a Hull fan today!!! They now have to beat us and Tottenham to go ahead of us. We just need the draw to stay up. We might not even need it, if Sunderland can beat Swansea next Saturday. We would be safe before we play Hull on Sunday. Every result would need to go against us now, which would be incredible bad luck!!! If you are feeling gloomy still, just think what Hull fans must be thinking!!!

I'm taking nothing for granted. Burnley's win against us and Sunderland's win at Hull will tell one anything can happen. There might be a few twists and turns yet with nerves playing their part and perhaps 'Lady Luck' as well.

Why would we care about Hull fans? They are still feeling better than supporters of Blackburn Rovers are today!

With Swansea winning I'm unsure how things improved over the last 24hrs.

Hull at home is a nightmare senario, just look at Burnley home game and the injury list. We are deep in it the only saving grace is unlike Blackburn today it's on our own hands so to speak.

Does it really matter. The destiny been in our hand since beating Liverpool to seal safety . We had 3 chances so far and blew it. If you care so much about hull join their forum.

The weekend could have been utterly disastrous but the Hull loss really changed things. Losing to city was inevitable (despite the performance being worryingly abject) and the Swansea win was not exactly unforeseen. The Hull loss, then, was a pleasant surprise.

I don't feel too confident going into the Hull game even though I still think we will stay up. Remember, Hull need to beat us AND Spurs to overtake us while Swansea need a win and a draw (against two s***e sides alas). Certainly not impossible or even improbable but distinctly unlikely.

Hull will look at our home form and yesterday's result and be optimistic. They beat us in the corresponding fixture last year and will hope to do it again.

Much depends on what happens on Saturday.

If Swansea win, it is impossible to say whether that will be worse for us or Hull. I suspect a Swansea win would be marginally worse for Hull. Arguably it could be down to which team (we or Hull) has the weakest link of the team's 11 (+ subs). Hull's loss yesterday may well have been down to nerves: Marco Silva blamed loss of focus on set pieces.

If Swansea draw with Sunderland, Hull would still need at least a draw with us, Hull might settle for a draw with us, if they were to bank on winning at Spurs. High risk.

If Swansea lose, we will (very probably) win because our nerves will be settled and can we can play as we wish without any real fear of losing the 15 goal goal difference advantage.

If the Swansea game has gone against us, in our game against Hull, the worse the nerves get, the worse the concentration will be and errors will play an increasingly greater part as the game goes on. Compared with ours, Hull's nerves will be fraying all the more the longer it goes on unless they have got a 2 goal cushion (early on).

Even if they are one up early on they will still be torn between getting to the relative safety of a second goal cushion and defending their one goal advantage. A one goal advantage for Hull would be a much slimmer advantage than a one goal advantage for us.

And the beat goes on.

Right well if were a player for Palace I'd expect Sam to be reading the riot act and then spending the week drilling our defence with the charm and style of a Battery Sargent Major.

They were in the Championship last season and hopefully next season as well.

Why do Palace ALWAYS have to do things the hard way?

Probably go to the last game of the season & we score an injury time winner to beat Man Utd 1-0 to stay up.

REALLY hope Swansea lose on Saturday. Sunday will be TOO MUCH if we have to win/draw against Hull.

Can't rely on Spurs helping us out either if we need them to beat Hull the last game.
