Well I have thought it through. You appear not even to have read it.
The whole premise is that Sakho is the crucial reason we are still in with a good shout of staying up. if we do not retain him next year the future of the manager be questioned before the season starts not part way through yet again. Without Sakho, points per game under Allardyce are far worse than Pardew though, obviously, injuries and Zaha (who also might leave this summer) missing for a couple of games have contributed.

FYI, Allardyce joined on 23 Dec. Since then, Palace have 23 points from 19 games for the 12th best record, five better than the 18th placed team

I seem to recall we played quite well without Sakho at 'pool. But we did have a recognised centre back then. It's not just about Sakho and SA is quite capable of doing other great business.

Trust me. You haven't.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Is Allardyce never allowed to sign another centre back for Palace or anybody ever again?

What happened last season at Sunderland with Kone? Come on Jamie Carragher, don't keep us waiting 24 hours.

Statistics! Statistics! and damn lies.
Your statistics may be accurate but are only taken in a period of time that suits you.
Try using the same argument say over the next seasons first few games or don't even bother.
Be passionate, be Palace, be proud. Bugger the stats.

I just get the feeling that if Allardyce had NOT joined our club we would have slipped through that dreaded 'Relegation trapdoor' by now.It was NOT looking good !

We'd have been gone before Sunderland.

We lost 8 of Pardew's last 10 games in charge, conceding 24 goals in the process.

In fairness I thought we'd already gone through it after Sunderland. The fact our destiny is in our own hands with the run in we've had is incredible, yet people still wanna talk s***. Allardyce is what he is, we will see if and what his limitations are over the course of the next few seasons but as of now he is exactly what we need and certainly a lot more than just a hoof ball merchant

It really would be an 'Annus Horibilis' for Allardyce if on the back of his England experience, we went down.

One can only speculate as to how much this would effect him and whether he would feel that he would need time to "Recuperate' before accepting another challenge. He might deem that he wants some time out to 'Dust himself down' before going again.NOT only would this be awful for Allardyce (And the club and supporters)he might lose that invincibility regards keeping teams up when they have been in difficulties.Only 'Food for thought' !

maybe willo, but he would have lost the invincibility already as we would already be down,,so maybe want to prove himself by springing straight back up!However, lets hope we dont have to wait to find out and are safe by sunday or before!
