I just read this on a Sunderland fans' forum: "Back in 1962 we went to Swansea needing a win to gain promotion but only drew. It would be fitting payback if we beat them next week [i.e. tomorrow - Ed] and keep the relegation pot boiling for them" Blimey! Any suggestions for the oldest unsettled Palace grudge?

My only unsettled Palace grudge is against Charlton - no need to explain why. But, having said that, I suppose that in fact the grudge has been settled, in that they now barely exist. Richly deserved outcome.

I have never forgiven Newport County for pipping us to promotion from the Third Division South in 1938-39. Gutted that they managed to stay in the league this season.
