Thought I'd do this as a bit of fun on a Friday afternoon & seeing as the season is almost up.
Based on this season, rate your following -

For me -
Player of the season: Wilf by a country mile. Signing of the season: Sakho, a player I openly criticised before coming but am more than happy to hold my hands up and say I was very wrong, he has been nothing short of outstanding. Goal of the season: Wilf vs Swansea at home. His goal away at Hill was a great goal too but the technique to pull off a finish like that was incredible, especially as it was clearly intended! Performance of the season: has to be Chelsea away, we were great against Arsenal but were playing a team devoid of confidence who we capitalised on. Chelsea really were considered unstoppable when we played them and to go to Stamford bridge and do that after going a goal down was special. Most improved player: if we're talking over the course of the season, for me it would be Tomkins. Looked very poor under Pardew but the added protection Sam has given him and a more familiar set up seems to of worked wonders. Still not 100% convinced by him if I'm honest but credit where it's due. Most over rated player: Wayne Hennessey, sounds a bit mad seeing as a lot of people don't rate him but the fact that there are still many who think he's worthy of being number 1 is the reason he gets it. Needs to be replaced in the summer desperately in my opinion. Most under rated player: Yohan Cabaye, and we've seen why in recent games. He gets so much unwarranted stick but he works his bollox off and is the one player we have who has vision and composure on the ball. A key player for us and I think we should do all we can to keep him this summer as he would be a big miss and harder to just go out and replace than some may think. One signing for the summer: given the above on Hennessey it would have to be Begovic. I do like Pickford but still don't think he's the finished article and looks a bit rash at times. No doubt given the fact he's English a bigger club will also be after him.
Player of the season: Wilf. It is not even a question. Signing of the season: Benteke. Without him we'd almost certainly be down. He went through a rough patch but then went on a more than decent run and has scored multiple match winning goals. Goal of the season: Wilf @ Hull. The goal epitomised Wilf. Beating three defenders then smashing it home, then the passion afterwards towards the away fans. Love it. Performance of the season: Could go for Chelsea or Arsenal, but Stoke at home would be my choice. Defended well most of the game (bar the last few minutes), scored some good goals, and left them with basically no chances. Most improved player: Yohan Cabaye. Whilst he was good last season, I guess I was expecting more when we signed him. He's provided that this season. The difference between him and say McArthur or Puncheon playing next to Luka (whilst those two are still great) is easily visible. So...Cabaye it is. Most over rated player: Oh god. It has to be Joel Ward. He's not as bad as Hennessey or Delaney, but he isn't​ the quality we should be looking for. He's a decent and definitely can still do a job, but that job isn't start every week. Most underrated player: Fraizer Campbell. Ok hear me out. I'm not saying he should start or anything, but as a sub in the 80th minute he has all the energy and passion you look for chasing down lose balls and putting pressure on the defense...plus...his equaliser against Hull could save us so there's that. A signing you'd most like to see in the summer and why: A goalkeeper from an English league. Begovic, Pickford, Robles (if Pickford goes to Everton). A few foreign keepers haven't done great in their debut season (Steve, Karius, Bravo) so I'd rather play it safe!

It's funny because I very nearly went for him. Think the stick he gets is way over the top sometimes and as far as right backs go he's been great for us. He does make mistakes but the thing I like about him is he seems to always put a performance in when it matters most.
Player of the season: Zaha - Hasn't really had a bad run of games this season, consistent and now his end product has appeared this season. Signing of the season: Sakho - Who else? Would also put Milivojevic up there with him. Goal of the season: Benteke vs Middlesbrough this stands out for me more because of Zaha's cross, signalling the beginning of him actually be able to cross a ball properly. Performance of the season: Townsend vs Arsenal, worked for the entire match. Performance vs West Brom away also stands out. Most improved player: Martin Kelly - without a doubt, people wanted him gone when he was played on the left but now playing at CB I'd say he gets the nod ahead of Dann. Most over rated player: Benteke - Is he really that good at finishing? Work rate poor aswell for a £20mil+ Striker. Most underrated player: Milivojevic, does more work than anyone else in midfield and usually goes unnoticed but he couldn't care less which is brilliant. A signing you'd most like to see in the summer and why: Begovic - Bournemouth nearly got him for £10mil in January, a bargain if that value is still the same.
Player of the season: ZAHA - No explanation needed. Signing of the season: SAKHO - The squad was lacking leaders, Sakho has had a major impact in that respect, also a hugely positive character, his positioning, clearing, composure is world class. Goal of the season: Very hard to chose this one but I've gone with CABAYE's vs Arsenal, Wilf's goal's against Hull and Swansea were soured by the end result of both games, Benteke's vs Chelsea was good but Cabaye scoring that goal at a floodlit Holmesdale End made it that much more special. Performance of the season: ARSENAL 3-0 - Everyone was faultless for the entire 90 minutes Most improved player: ZAHA - Added the goals and assists to his game, stepped up after Bolasie left. Most over rated player: DANN - Perhaps he's had an injury this season and I do rate him generally but as a leader he has been poor this season. I also think that McArthur is starting to show his limitations although he also has been plagued with injuries this season. Most underrated player: KELLY - On his day I think he's better than Ward at RB. A signing you'd most like to see in the summer and why: RAMSEY - Probably not heading most people's shortlist but I think with Cabaye possibly moving on and McArthur's powers waning, we should be looking at other options in the number 8 role.
