Club announcements - regarding new deals

We don't seem to announce that players have signed new deal the likes of Delaney and speroni. Have all agreed new deals according to press. Yet there nothing official announced. According to this Croydon advertiser paper. Hennessy has also followed suit. Apparently Kelly signed a new deal last year. Yet nothing was made official.
What your feelings on our club announcements ?

It does say "believed" to have signed new contracts, so they may not necessarily have got that right.

I thought Kelly signed his contract extension around the time Pardew was sacked & seem to recall something in the press about it. I'm not sure announcing contract signing during the pointy end of a relegation battle would've been helpful and, considering the players involved, may have been seen by some as preparation for the Championship.

I read earlier in the year that it is now club policy not to announce deals mid season. I don't know the rationale behind it but at a guess it is to stop speculation when one player has signed and another hasn't.

It was on CPFC website & twitter feed a little while after but who rushes out to confirm someone has left. Our recent signings have all been announced professionally (IMO) with details & interviews ready from the off which is far better than just a tweet or similar. Maybe we should do an Oxford & tweet a photo of new players signing their contract in McDonalds.....
