I love the way some of the journalists are presenting this as a "shock move". Toon have been talking about getting Townsend back ever since he left them in the first place. I hope he stays, of course.

The Newcastle media all seem to be presenting it as Townsend returning home completely ignoring the fact that he only spent half a season with them yet has spent twice as long with us.
