It wasn't Zaha resigning
It was that Silva went to Watford !!
What a relief that was
Who is he and what has he done ??
Oh yeah , he got relegated with Hull !

I appreciate the positivity here mate, but Hull were already a sinking ship when Silva took over - quite frankly it would've taken a miracle to keep them up. He may not be a perfect manager, but he definitely knows what he's doing, and in my opinion was one of the best managers we could realistically have gotten. Certainly better than the likes of Monk and Wagner.

Silva is going to be a name you're going to hear for years to come so laughing that you dodged him is frankly idiotic.

Very simplistic logic.

Delaney couldn't even make the Ipswich first team when we signed him....terrible signing that.

Nonsense , he was totally clueless at Selhurst from the moment our first goal went in
You watch Watford struggle next year
We need a strong PROVEN manager , someone who has won the league not been relegated from it .
People keep making excuses for him saying Hull were already down etc etc ~ nonsense .

So who do you want? Ranieri? Or do you think we can attract Conte from Chelsea?

Silva would've been brilliant for us.

Shame we missed out on him.

Silva did an incredible job coming as close as he did to keeping Hull up. They were average to poor at home and terrible away. His home record, with one blip to Sunderland, was incredible. If you have a season ticket for next season and want value for money, you should have been begging us to take Silva!

As far as wanting a premier league winner... That's a nice to have but it's a small list. Maybe Sir Alex owes you a favour?

You can be the most clued up manager in the league, but if you haven't got the tools to do the job........
Did you draw the same conclusion about Allardyce (even though he wasn't my choice) when we went 0-4 against Sunderland? I think Silva would have done well for us, and am a little bit disappointed he didn't come to us. I hope we now don't settle for a has been.

Some people do love their own threads.

Wally. 21 points in 18 games with the worst squad in the league. Mid table form. I'm gutted we didn't get him as he was, for me, the stand out contender.

I really don't get why he's said to have done such a great job at Hull.
He seems like a classy guy but when it came to the crunch his team threw in the towel in those last three games. They lost at home to an already relegated team followed by two hammerings where they conceded eleven goals.
I wonder about his motivational skills, when his team played us they seemed to cave in very easily.
