Is Only 2 new signings enough

In his radio interview yesterday. Parish said that Sam feels that we only needed 2 new players. With the amount of injuries suffered last season. Is only 2 additions leaving us short, or is it only 2 permanent signings and a couple of loans. A lot of the supporter want Sakho and with him signing, could Tomkins become a option at Rb cover. Where's the 2 main areas where we should spend our budget.

That depends on what the budget is

Assuming that we have a new manager who is as capable as the two Sams at tactics, coaching and motivating we probably need an upgrade at centre back and right back.

If, as seems likely Mandanda goes we will also need a new keeper unless the development squad keeper is deemed capable of stepping up

Tom Rogic or Aaron Mooy in midfield to compete with Punch and Yohan. A CB hopefully Sakho, a backup striker to replace Remy/Campbell and either keep Mandanda if the new manager likes him, or replace him. That's 4 that I think are absolutely necessary.

I don't think so. Minimum i think we need 4.

GK (Mandanda Replacement)
CB (Sakho)
AM (Puncheon Replacement)
ST (Campbell Replacement)

I would say 3 CB forward RB I think that would be enough

GK. RB. CB, hopefully Sakho. Midfielder to replace Cabaye who I think may leave with Steevie. Another forward. Our squad could be depleated with the out of contract players leaving and I hope we shed some dead wood who simply can't cut it in the premier.

CB we have Dann and Tomkins. We need 2 more as Delaney as back up isn't good.
RB we only have ward who should be a squad player on the bench.
GK Manadanda going home and we need a new number 1.
CAM I'd like someone to replace Punch but as he's now captain that probably isn't gonna happen.
Striker we have Benteke and Wickham who is never fit so 1 or 2 would be nice.

Overall the squad lacks wuality so if we are going to push on and try top 10 like he keeps saying we need a lot more than 2.

Two is nowhere near enough

I am one for evolution not revolution but we will probably need 5-6 new signings

I'd say keeper if Mandanda goes.
Sakho agree.
Parish talked about trying to bring through some of the development squad players three of which he mentioned were midfielders and that he didn't want to block their progress. This would hint at us not looking at the midfield this summer, that being said that was if BS was in charge. But I recon we won't sign a AM.
Striker - yes agreed especially if Campbell goes.

So that's three for me: GK, CB, ST

No way is two enough

We need cover at RB, RW, GK, ST, AM

This is without even letting people go.

If we get rid of a lot of rot then eaily need 7 people.

What they may of meant by 2 is big signings.

I guess he means if nobody leaves then we need to replace our 2 loanees Sakho and Remy.

Appiah wasn't in the 25 man squad.

Some of these are likely to leave
Ledley, Mandanda, Fryers, Flamini, Sako, Lee, Campbell
and would need replacing

and we have Wickham and Souare returning maybe

Injured - For start of the season:

Soure
Wickham

I make that 10 leaving or not fit, leaving only 16 definite's that are fit or are in contract at the start of pre season so unless BFS has taken the unsigned contracts with him then its at least 5, assuming Hennesey is the only one we seem like we are going to retain.

And that is aside from peoples thoughts of the quality of those left

Goes full circle again about the need to get someone in place asap.
