I sincerely hope that, whoever takes over, doesn't try to impose their favoured system on us without finding out what works best for us. There's a case for going 4-4-2 under certain circumstances during a game, but to play that formation whatever is the hallmark of the dinosaur, especially when you're up against sides with five in midfield and might explain Burnley's abysmal away record. We need some open thinking, not a Mike Bassett-style "Palace will be playing 4-4 fcuking 2".
