Thomas vermaelen - despite being injury prone. Was a very good defender at arsenal. Last season on loan at Roma, from Barca .

I recall the left-footed Vermaelen taking free kicks over a wall.Seemed to lack that extra burst of pace for me.

Apparently Interpol has been called in to assist Parish given that the search for Allardyce's replacement has gone on for this long...
