A possession game is pleasing on the eyes but we certainly, need to improve that number 10 role at Palace. Although Cabaye done reasonably well. If we want to be a top 10 side regularly. Then a David silva type is needed.

Any suggestions below

Shinji Kagwa
Ziyech
Tom cairney

I just posted the same in the 'who would you like FDB sign'

So Here is another one to add just for this post that I think would work well with Benteke. However he may be too pricey on our current budget.

Leander Dendoncker Belgium's composed midfielder [12.75m]

here is that post again

The EUFA Championship has poped up some useful names for the future most are out of our budget However, now that we have a manager that is able to make good use of youthful talent ...
I sincerely hope he finds a way to help Jonnniesta and Puncheon get themselves a regular spot in the first Team and support Sakho as top of the list.
here are IMHO some youngsters to look out for, should FDB not find our youth quite ready this season for the Premiership.
Albert Rusnak, Slovakia, Attacking Midfield [1.5m]

Marko Grujic, Serbia, centre-midfielder [4.5m]

Jorge Mere, Spain, centre-back [5.1m]

Carlos Soler, Spain, centre-midfielder [6.38m]

one to look out for
Wylan Cyprien Nice's Forward-Thinking Attacking Midfield [8m]

I'm surprised no ones mentioned Samir Nasri..he'd be ideal as a stop gap until the rest of the squad is recruited and takes shape.

The ONLY issue for me would be he doesn't fit in with the age range FDB is apparently looking for as well as his injury record.

Plus as he's on a free he'll want 200k a week which is not only ridiculous but will also aggravate Wilf and Benteke to name but 2. Very decent player though and would certainly improve the team.

I read that FdB was interested in Tom Carroll when he was at Tottenham, ticks the young age box and has got bags of potential.

Just look at these numbers and it's clear as a bell whom we should invest are money in. Hakim Ziyech.

He's my favorite football player outside of Crystal Palace and I've been following over the past 2 years from FC Twente to Ajax and he impresses across the board and the numbers dictate that. If Ziyech would've had the cleverness and speed of a Wilf Zaha playing in the Europa final against MANUre Ajax would've won. Ziyech was the only Ajax player able to breakdown MANUre and that's exactly what we need.

The fact that he is still under investigation for a doping offense might also count against him.

This is actually an area where I feel we should be using our own. Punch knows he's on borrowed time but could raise his game. With FDB rating youth we could at last see Joniesta progress or a Flanagan push through from the youth set up.

Think CB, GK, STR and RB are most important to purchase at the minute. If anything, if we do need to go into the market for another midfielder I think we need a defensive one as cover for Luka.

Please enlighten me what j.williams has proved to even be in 25 man squad. If he didn't come through the palace academy. Most fans would want him gone. He's contrubition since promotion, has been no more than mutch . Yes the kid has talent but we are halting his career, staying at Palace. I'd love him to be a success but he hasn't even scored league goal in the 55 games, he has featured in. How can all of a sudden become our number 10 in the premier league. Fans need to judge him on his contribution, not where he's come from.

Unfortunately that is absolutely spot on. Personally I think the number 10 is a key role we need to recruit for, no one in the squad is good enough for that role, much as I loved Punch, he is getting quite frustrating to watch, everything is bit too slow

But you've missed my point. To quote Theresa May's "Money tree" we haven't got one in order to spend the vast amounts on players in all positions.

FDB has a transfer budget but he has also been in to promote the academy. Midfield isn't an area in as much need for reinforcement as GK (unless Mandanda is persuaded to stay and he's up for the challenge) CB, RB and CF.

So yes, Williams has a lot to prove. As does Puncheon. Maybe there is a gem in the academy. But with Luka, McArthur, Cabaye, Puncheon, Williams and even Ward/Tomkins in worst case scenario, able to play in midfield I think our transfers should be directed elsewhere.
