Just moved to this rainy metropolis and wondering if I'm the only Palace fan here or not?

You pretty much are I think. I've never met another in Taiwan. Afraid I'm based down south in Tainan.

That said, I once met a girl in Speakeasy (excellent pub on Guangfu S. Rd. with tons of Irish whiskey) who said her boyfriend was a Palace fan.

There probably are a handful scattered about. We should start a Taiwan supporters group? I get up to Taipei every so often.

Welcome to Taiwan. I am a palace fan from Thornton Heath living in Taipei (for the past 15 plus years). Watch all of the games in bars or on my PC. I live in Xin Dian, and my local shows most of the games. If I am in Taipei City, 'On tap' is where I will watch the big games.

Yeah, I'll be heading to HK for the Asia Cup games. Would be good if we got some others from Taiwan.

Well Britain shares a scheme with Taiwan, amongst many other countries, that allows under 30s to migrate for 1-2 years which I have been doing so far in various other places. Last one now before I'm "over the hill"!

As for HK, the thought certainly did cross my mind! I was over there briefly last year but didn't catch any games/supporters groups.
Thanks for the above advice on where to go! A supporters group does sound a good idea.

Hi, I'm a palace and have been living in Taipei on and off for 8 years. It's great to meet another palace fan in Taipei! Every time I watch a game in public here I have to explain to people who Palace are! We should meet up for a beer sometime if ya fancy it. Welcome to Taiwan.

Palace are not so big here, but I have converted a couple of the locals. One of my students went to some of the games when she was in the UK a couple of years ago. Even sent me a retro shirt with the signatures of the players.

So who's up for watching a game together in Taipei next season? I can time a work trip north to coincide.

I'm in. Would prob need to be against a big team or late kick off for one of the pubs to show it.
