Scudamore came out and said there is no plans for a 39th game. Does anyone actually agree with this concept, and if it happens would you go?

Has to be somewhere we can have a massive party (Ibiza), but it's likely to be somewhere where flights cost £800 minimum and rooms a lot too.

Horrendous idea, but with the way the game's going, it's inevitable

Stupid idea! But it's not football anymore is it. It's just about how much money they can make.

The premier league is such a whore of an organisation that this will no doubt it will happen. No one who doesn’t directly pocket a sh*t load of cash for this could possibly want it. It would be like this Asia tournament we’re in now, where we would just be the irrelevant opposition to one of the big clubs or we’d be playing a similar sized club and no one on that side of the planet would give a sh*t.

It's the English Premier League (ok, with the exception of Swansea) so that's where it is played. I don't see La Liga, Bundesliga or Serie A playing any extra games outside their country.

How would it work logistically? Do points count towards the prem table?

Scudamore says it won't happen, the fans don't want it to happen so where's the debate?

F***ing stupid idea. Would this 39th game be counted for PL points? If not, it's just a friendly, and clubs can organise their own friendlies. If not, it disrupts the level playing field of the league in which everyone plays everyone else home and away, and leaves big issues such as relegation and Europe places open to the vagaries of the (presumably) draw. Oh, and it would give Mourinho something else to whine about.

It's an idea that needs a lot of fleshing out before it can even be considered. Unfortunately the money men at the top of the FA will want this to happen - and beat the european counterparts to the punch. (i.e before la Liga and Bundesliga do it ) so the PL stays the biggest brand in world football. As it stands now, there are too many questions about the format; who would play who; how to fit this into an already busy schedule etc... I'm not completely against it, but it would have to be done right. and I'm not sure if that is possible without other Mainstream changes.
