I would say you're correct but the kits hardly work as clarification.

2nd time wearing the black kit and already a problem, not a great start. I can see the club having to get white or red ones made also before we have to have a 3rd bright kit in autumn/winter.

I thought it was Swindon but I definitely remember us singing we use persil to the tune of play up pompey. I don't think their kit was clean.

I've got it in my head that it happened a few years before the photo you posted, perhaps around the Trevor Francis era, that we were at home to Birmingham, they played in our away kit with our sponsors covered up with gaffer tape, and that the whole surreal day was topped off with a remarkable own goal in our favour in the last minute when one of theirs booted into a teammate from point blank range, sending the ball arching up into the far top corner from miles out.

I've tried to find evidence of this in the past but no luck. Is anyone able to reassure me that I didn't dream it all?
