Goal keeper, centre back, striker as a bare minimum.

Include right back and some sort of midfielder and that would be as much as could be expected.

Very quiet at the minute which is concerning. We'll be lucky to get a keeper at the minute.

I like the fact the fact that we are bringing in young, really talented players like Loftus Cheek and Fosu Mensah, though it obviously a pity we will only have them for a year. Its great that we strengthened our left side of defence in January. The crazy thing about the PL is that its still leaving us with the gaps you mention (which Iagree with) - plus a RWB. Problem is we probably need a transfer budget of around £50m, which we dont have

Rwb or a cb to push mensah to rwb. Striker/winger and a gk. so 3 more. Chambers, Burke and zoet would be my choice.

Chambers, Burke and Zoet is going to cost us upwards of £35 million plus. I fear we don't have the money.

I'm sorry man, but I have to disagree completely with your choices. I really, really don't think Fosu-Mensah can cut it as RWB. Probably not even as simple right back. If van der Wiel doesn't come it's a massive f***up, as he was very cheap this window. Even Almeida from Benfica would be good, while Yedlin would be stellar.

And from all the options of attacking midfielder the club has been linked with lately (Carrillo from Benfica, Forestieri from Sheffield, El Haddadi from Barcelona and Burke from Leipzig) I think Burke is the most unproven

If we can get Burke in, a striker (though KaiKai a good cameo at Anfield and that young Belgian is all right) and find 2 players (Cabaye one) that can put Puncheon and Ward on the bench.

There has been mention on here of a striker and I do believe that we are light in this area.If Benteke got injured who on earth would play up front ?

Someone has suggested Norwich's Nelson Oliveira whom Freedman signed for Nottm For on Loan ! A target man who can strike a ball with either foot and is technically very capable.Holds the ball up well and can score a goal out of nothing.Alex Neil signed him for Norwich for about £4 Mill.

How can you say we dont have £50 million how much do we get each year from sky? Weve spent 8 million an 1 player so far plus weve sold Mandanda.

If you stand still in the transfer window you get relegated. We are in desperate need of a striker. If benteke gets injured whos gona play up front? Plus he needs competition for his place to keep him on his toes.
We also need a rwb as Ward can not play this position and whilst i like RLC he needs help in the middle of midfield. Cabeye has not played for a reason so far and thats because i beleive hes being sold.

Also we have 3 decent cbs in Dann, Fosu mensa and alderwielda but we need cover there. Tompkins is good cover but as much as i like Delany hes not up to this formation imo.

Get your hands in your pocket cpfc and buy some decent players please or we are doomed.
