Well after Sat changes are happening.

What does everyone think of this line up (sticking with 343)

Hennessey

Fosu-Mensah
Dann
Ridewald

Wan-Bissaka
Luka
RLC
Schlupp

Townsend
Benteke
Lokilo

Subs:

Speroni
Cabaye
McArthur
PVA
Ward
Tomkins
Ladapo

Square pegs in square holes against the bin dippers and both WV'a can defend in 5-2-3 when we are being attacked.

Just posted on the Wilf thread that with him out it could be a good way of getting Cabaye/McArthur into the team; shoving Puncheon out wide.

It's always felt to me that we've been trying to accommodate Punch rather than playing him on merit.

He's better on the wing; esp crossing wise (perhaps even better than Wilf in the final ball).

Perhaps this bit of bad luck could be turned into a positive, as either Yohan/Jimmy are far better at breaking up play in the middle of the park then Punch could ever hope to be.....something that Lofuts Cheek showed us on Sat. We need players who can compete for a ball as well as shield the back 3

No Punch...not even on the bench?

I hope I am worng but if we play 3-4-3 at Anfield on Saturday we will get slaughtered.
Square pegs in square holes on Saturday for me - sod total football.
Let's get at Liverpool - we are their bogey side and up and at 'em has a real ring to it!
4-5-1 all the way for me on Saturday.

3-4-3 could quite easily become 5-2-3...that's what the wing backs are for...just stop them from bombing forward. That's why it's such a flexible formation...the problem is the players seem to not be able to think for themselves or dont listen to instructions given...Big Sam said something similar when he first arrived
