What do you think is Franks main priority as Palace manager, is it keeping palace in a comfortable mid table position whatever the style, or continuing with his football philosophy whatever the outcome

Steve Parish made it quite plain when he was appointed that his first job was to remove us from permanent relegation candidates

Put it this way, if he cocks this job up, having done the same at Inter, he won't be working much for the foreseeable future. My main concern was not so much that he's trying something that doesn't seem to be working, but that he took no responsibility for it after Saturday's game. If he can't be objective about his own performance then we could be in for a Pardew-style slide a la 2016.

His main priority is to do well here and leave after a season for a bigger club.

Let's hope this is true . This would mean that if his system does not start working soon he will actually have to change it to start getting results and save us so he can get another job.

At the moment it looks like another season of transition from "quite s***e" to "f***ing s***e". Going swimmingly so far.

I think it's pretty clear he has to succeed or his only future job prospects will be in Holland. This is a career defining move and despite the fact after 1 competitive game the experts on HOL and twitter have deemed him as rubbish, I'd suggest someone who won 4 titles on the bounce after 7 years of zilch and had the playing career he did isn't stupid in a footballing sense.

This is of course correct but Ajax were still a top club in Holland with a terrific infrastructure so they were much better placed than we are at present !
And having a Dutch legend in De Boer managing Ajax might have been a factor in their success.

I'm not playing down his achievements at Ajax but trying to put it into context.Still it is on his CV that he won 4 titles at the club.

Regardless of the size of the achievement, I'm merely suggesting you'd think with that on his CV, at the very least he's not stupid enough to think he can fail miserably here and get away with it. Make or break

Would he really be bothered though? After all his years in football, he's gotta be well off enough not to need to work (except maybe to stave of boredom) so why would he worry if there are no more job offers after this one??
