Squad of 25 or more

Today we have to name our squad of 25 of which 8 must be home grown (registered for 3 years in UK before they are 21)
U21 do not have to be in the 25. So RLC and TFM don’t count but Jairo does as he wasn’t in the UK.

There is the possibility of picking up free agents still I guess. We need a keeper and striker!
The list includes Connor and Pape who could drop out and Lapado who may not get a shirt.
Academy players may also get registered as over the 25 as they are U21:
Aaron Wan-Bissaka born 1997, 44 Nya Kirby 2000, GK Matthew Funnell 2000, Michael Phillips 1997, Jason Lokilo 1998

It will be interesting to see how we weigh up our options, what do you think?

Surely there is no point in including Souare or Wickham as they are unlikely to play and Lapado must be included in case anything happens to Benteke

A premier league club having to rely on Ladapo in case something happens to Benteke is farcical.

I like Ladapo but he isn't suitable cover.

Don't think Jaro needs to be in 25 he is not home grown but An Under 21 player is defined as one who is under the age of 21 on 1st January in the year in which the season commences.

I think we'll shoehorn someone else in up front from the first team.

What I'm really hoping for is that we submit a 24-man squad, and manage to find a striker on a free transfer (that is allowed).

If I am right we have space for 1 out of contract player Kleton Perntreou is 22 but was 21 on 1st Jan so may count as under 21

You cant make any transfers after the window closes so the player would have to be a free agent before the window shut. Also you have to name all available senior players at the club in your squad before you can claim an undersized squad and add a free agent to it. Not sure how that works with injuries tho.

We've named a squad of 24 - room for 1 free agent. I'd assume they'll look for a backup striker.
