Was watching it on Freeview this morning, just the last half hour or so, Kenneth Connor as Alderman Bumble and June Whitefield as Councillor Prodworthy trying to stop the beauty contest etc... Mrs Bumble ...http://movie-dude.co.uk/Patsy%20Rowlands%20%20Carry%20On%20Girls%20(1973).jpg

... was reading The Sun in the kitchen and the back page headline was "Craven first to go in Big Mal Purge".

OK pop pickers - who was Craven and where was he sent to (there's a clue in the question)?

One of my favourite players John Craven - 100% every game he played, scored some great goals too!

An actress who also appeared in a couple of Bond films, but, for us old ones, may also be remembered as the girl in the Hai Karate adverts

Rollercoaster ride - never a dull moment with the Palace!

If you've seen 'The Spy Who Loved Me' she's the hot receptionist in the Sardinian hotel who fancies Bond which Barbara Bach gets the hump about after making her feelings clear he has no chance. She also got the hump over Stromberg's female assassin with the big b00bs in the silk robe. She was blown up by Bond's missile firing Lotus in her helicopter. Full of top talent in that film, but not in the way of acting.
