How would they fare in the Premiership?

Sorry, wrong board! Can it be moved to 'Football' please?

Relegation strugglers until the third money and huge sponsorship and kit deals they'd strike would eventually get them into the top few.

The Vatican would probably buy them as an investment as well.

Aside from the satire, Rudi has the crux of it. Pretty much any club can do reasonably well in the Prem, once the TV and other money starts snucking in. Even Watford.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I think the conceit - at least from Rodgers - is that Celtic would be a top 6 now, as currently constituted. This is clearly delusional, which is not out of "character" for Brendan.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

I couldn't see them prospering given their result last night. Mind you it was PSG but losing 5-0 at home?
Recently they have struggled in Europe against some English teams:
2008/2009 EUFA cup - lost 4-1 on aggregate to Man Utd
2009/2010 EUFA cup - lost 5-1 on aggregate to Arsenal
(before these dates they seemed able to compete with Premiership sides).
However, in the Champions League group stages 2016/2017 they drew both games with Man City.
So who knows?

Give them £120m a year and they will probably do well. Attendances are up alongside our Europa sides so should have about Everton level revenue every season...

If they survive the 1st season they would be in europe in 3 years

It would be more than Everton mate. Celtic really are a huge club. Put them in the prem and on global TV and the sponsorship and merchandising money they'd make would rival the top 4, possibly even be 2nd.

Don't want to see any of their scummy supporters kicking players on the pitch in England.

Regardless of what Brendan 'Mouth Like a Labrador's Anus' Rodgers says, they're 5hit and wouldn't even survive the Championship.

Take away the tv money and neither would any side in the premiership
